Look at the video below. Most of us would say that is just another episode of Star Trek.
But not, it is just a powerfull chemical laser mounted on an Boeing 747 blasting off a balistic missile off the sky. Impresive. With some advances in the technology and enough money to produce enough of these babies, the missile arsenal of the most countries will be obsolete. Any missile will be obliterated well before being a threat.
Well … any missile except those with mirror coating or force field around
